Overall, fine enough if taken as a step.It's fairly clear by now that this series is committing to have Ash and Goh as its dual leads with an emphasis on the two major elements of the Pokémon trainer experience, battling and catching respectively.
Wanpachi's Feelings! Considering one of the cruxes of Chloe's insecurities was the fact that she didn't even know whether she liked Pokémon or not, showing her lean more towards liking them is a good step towards getting her hopefully more involved, and I particularly appreciated the small scene with her and her mother Talia where they discuss about Professor Cerise's book on peace between humans and Pokémon with Chloe appreciating her father's work, which opens the door to several future possibilities: is she going to study to becoming a researcher herself? It was going to appear in the obligatory Ghost-type episode anyway, there are plenty of Pokemon they could have used. It's a refreshing take on a character story.I’ll be honest, as much as I’m all in for some Koharu development, I’m scared they’ll do to her what they did to every single character who had a pokemon aversion: ending the episode with her as in love with them as any other main character.What a weird title. The Wanpachi that lives with the family is very attached to her, but she's concerned about how everyone around her has labeled her as "someone who obviously loves Pokémon, since her father is a Pokémon Professor".
